Ponderosa High School’s communication system is Parent Square. It provides a safe way for administrators, teachers, staff, groups, and parents to connect and effectively communicate with each other. Ponderosa uses Parent Square to communicate with parents directly regarding important school information and your student’s attendance. All school, grade level, and classroom information is sent from one centralized place to your computer or mobile phone via email and/or text. In addition, you can use Parent Square to communicate directly with the school, such as the attendance office or your student’s teachers.
Parent Square is separate from Aeries; however, Parent Square pulls your contact information from the Contact page in your Aeries account. It is important for all new PHS families to input and/or verify your contact information in Aeries once you have created your Aeries Parent Portal. Please verify that your Aeries information is complete and correct (including email and telephone numbers). If you need assistance in setting up your Aeries Parent Portal, please contact Amy Dreher in the counseling office: firstname.lastname@example.org, or 530-344-8825. Any changes in Aeries take 24 hours to update in Parent Square.
If your contact information is correct in Aeries, you will automatically receive Parent Square messages. However, we also encourage you to register your Parent Square account in order to control the delivery method (text/email) and frequency of your Parent Square notifications. Please update your information in Aeries before you complete the registration process for Parent Square. In order to register your Parent Square account, you must accept the invitation emailed to you. Please click the link to activate your account and register by completing the following steps:
- Create a password
- Click the box to agree to the terms
- Click Register
If you do not receive the email invitation to activate your account by the start of the school year, you can:
- Visit https://www.parentsquare.com/signin
- Under Sign Up/Create Password, enter Email or Cell Phone Number. You must use the same email/phone you provided to your school in your Aeries account.
- Click If the email/phone matches the information in Parent Square, you will receive an account activation email/text to register.
If you are not receiving Parent Square notifications after the school year begins, first make sure that your information is correct in Aeries. If you encounter any issues, you can email me directly at email@example.com with the subject line: Parent Square Invitation. Please include your name, email address, student name, and student grade.
