requirement in this area. Students may
select classes from either area.
Fine Arts: any class from
the Fine Arts Department: Music, Drama, Arts and Crafts, or Floral Design. Foreign Language: includes, but is not limited to Spanish,
French, or German at Ponderosa High School.

Exam (CAHSEE) – Class of 2006 and on:
In April of 1999, Senate Bill 2X was signed into law establishing the
CAHSEE. The CAHSEE is a test that all
California students must pass in math and language arts to graduate from high
school. It has been determined that the
CAHSEE will cover all the material in the state’s mathematics standards, up to
and including algebra, and will cover the English Language Arts standards in
the 9th and 10th grades.
